I agree with going with the infinity's but only from the poit of preference. As far as what power you can put on a speaker it depends on what frequecy range he will be playing through that speaker. Since music is not at a constant decibal level, like say a pure sine wave, it is always better to have more power available than what a speaker is rated for. One day you could be listening to LL cool J and the next some orchestra music. You'll want the extra power. Forget thje technicalities since it's obvious he has a very basic system (not sure if he even has active crossovers) and pick the speakers that sound best in your car and too you. Besides the fact that most heat disipation ratings are half ass anyway.
